Had to miss the first event for the 2008 season due to work, but I was able to get 2/24/2008 off from work to be able to attend round 2. My foot is feeling great and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and drive again.

Well considering we didn’t have brand new tires like everyone else in class Scott and I did pretty well. Unfortunately Scott did have trouble with cones on his first day of runs, but all in all a good event.

Chris placed 26th out of 41 drivers
Scott placed 39th out of 41 drivers

Chris placed 381 out of 1141 timed drivers. Which puts Chris in the top 3rd of drivers nationally.  Results file can be found here

Well looks like Amsoil has decided to pick us up and have us be apart of their Preferred Racer Program. I have been using their products in both the WRX and also the RX8 for the past couple years and would recomend it to anyone. We are actively looking for any form of sponsorship or donations to help get the Barth Mullins Racing Team and our Winning Blue Mazda RX-8 to the Sports Car Club of America Solo National Tour in the end of September.  Any amount of help will be greatly appreciated and definately worth your while.

The type of donation and/or sponsorship we are looking for is any that will help us get to nationals and to be able to represent your company in almost anyway possible. We have several options to help return the help you would be giving our team. We will place stickers on the Mazda RX8 for this event and supply pictures and/or video for you. Also, depending on how much you wish to help us We will also leave your stickers on/promote your company for the remainder of this calendar year on the RX-8, as well as our 2004 blue subaru. These two cars are driven daily all over town, so by having your stickers on the cars we would be promoting your company on a daily basis to a wide range of people. Plus, we have 6 local events where other SCCA, autocross members and anyone out watching would see your stickers on our car’s. We can also hand out and post any flyer’s or business cards for you as well.

Event went pretty good as the LVRSCCA had 80 drivers attend this night event at the Buffalo Bills Hotel in Primm, NV. With a small chunk missing from the rear tire Chris was able to take 1st place in class by over 3 seconds and 5th in the drivers points (pax index).
